Travelling the country in a VW

I want to leave with my wife and my baby, Caleb, sell everything we own, buy a Volkswagen Vanagon, and head out on the highway, travelling the United States for at least 6 months to a year. I think that would be the most amazing thing ever. Then, I want to write a book about all the stories - the people we meet, the things we see/do, etc. Then I want to get my book published, and get it out there for people to read and be inspired.
